Hiang Tiang Siang Ti Temple Procession

Annually, on the 4^th day of the 12^th month of the lunar calendar, Carpenter Street comes alive with activities and the colourful procession is the main highlight.

Thousands of people gather along the streets to witness this celebration which lasts late into the night. The crowds are entertained with skillful displays of talent by the lion and dragon dance troupes, with the wild beating of the gongs and drums while pretty maidens, singers and dancers in colourful costumes perform on beautifully decorated floats.
