de Cuisine, which means “The good food” in French is poised to be the first fine dining Seafood Restaurant in Kuching with a fusion of Western and Asian dishes.

The restaurant’s delicately designed interior can accommodate 300 people spanning two spacious floors at a corner shoplot in Saradise, Kuching. Google Map Location. Specializing in authentic Foochow delicacies, the restaurant has over 200 menu selections to choose from. The restaurant serves no pork and is known for its curated collection of wine and exclusive liquor from around the world.

de Cuisine is the brainchild of award-winning chef Barnabas Tiong Kieng Wei  who has 20 years of experience in the food industry. He was awarded for Best Food and Entertainment Outlet in Sibu in 2009/2010. The idea for de Cuisine stems from difficulties in finding good authentic Foochow dishes in Kuching.

For your information, there are 4 rooms available for private dining on 1st floor.

6:00 pm – 10:00 pm (dinner)

Easy homemade peanut sauce (for satay) 简单自制(沙爹)花生酱 kuah satay 0 888

Peanuts sauce is not only goes well with satay but it’s also a great dressing for gado-gado (Indonesian salad).


  • 300g peanut (skinless)
  • 1.5 tbsp dried chillies (8-10pcs)
  • 1.5 tbsp lemongrass
  • 1.5 tbsp galangal
  • 8-10 cloves garlic
  • 2 red onion
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 tbsp palm sugar
  • 6 tbsp sugar (sweetness depends on self preference)
  • 1/2 ginger
  • 500-600 ml water
